 Vietnam has in the past years been confronted with a rapidly-expanding HIV/AIDS epidemic. Although its prevalence rate is still relatively low, there were up to 260,000 reported cases in 2005, compared to only 43,000 a few years earlier. With the help provided by The Global Fund grants, Vietnam is seeking new ways to curb the epidemic. This ranges from renewing medical equipment to helping set up counseling and support programs led by dynamic volunteers, and with a focus on particularly vulnerable groups. Read the Full Story
